Howdy!

I’m Jack Kingsman, an SRE, developer, and serial hobbyist. I live in Seattle with my partner and work at Atlassian as a Senior SRE on the Atlassian Analytics platform.

I really, really love computers. Bringing joy to others using technology is my highest passion, whether with fun side projects like Nobody.live, or with my day job, where I work hard to keep on-call duties light and incident response nimble and educative.

Hobbies are my hobby, and there’s a good chance asking me “what are you up to in your free time?” will get you a different answer from season to season. Some diversions include:

• volunteering as an event EMT with RockMed
• scuba diving (I’m a PADI divemaster)
• amatuer radio operations (callsign AE9Y)
• keeping fresh- and brackish-water shrimp and snails
• homebrewing mead
• camping and backpacking, especially in the Tablelands of Southern Oregon
• target shooting
• locksport
• developing side projects of varying usefulness/silliness – check out my GitHub
